Liturgist Schedule & Invitation to Serve (For Hodgdon UMC)

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend weather.

I’m writing to you regarding liturgist service in our worship. As we continue to grow as a family church, everyone is invited and encouraged to take part in worship leadership. One wonderful way to do that is by serving as a liturgist.

Here’s a brief description of the liturgist’s role:

• Introduce the Song of Praise at the beginning (the congregation remains seated)

• Welcome everyone and highlight important announcements (encouraging people to read them later)

• Read the Centering Words

• Lead the Call to Worship (responsive reading; invite the congregation to stand in body or in spirit)

• Introduce the Opening Hymn

• Read the Scripture before the message

If you are not currently on the liturgist list but would like to join, please let me know.

If you are on the list, kindly review the tentative schedule below. If you have a scheduling conflict or prefer not to serve this time, please let me know as soon as possible.
